Hotel near Ronda – Los Castaños
Hotel Los Castaños near Ronda, just 17 km from the bustling tourist centre of Ronda is an oasis of luxury, tranquillity, and harmony.
Personal and homey, super comfortable and secluded, our hotel is a different genre of accommodation providing all the comforts of a hotel (a very fine Ronda hotel!) with the ease of being at home (but without the chores!)
What we offer at Los Castaños includes:
* six light and airy ensuite rooms
* free wifi throughout the building and a guest computer
* open plan drawing room with a roaring chestnut fire in the winter and cool retreat in summer
* snug with honesty bar, library, games and DVDs (and a TV)
* dining room leading into the Moorish courtyard
* rooftop terrace with amazing views over the valley and the mountains.
* loungers and an awning for those escaping the sun
* food! Great dinners, fantastic snack menu
Note for animal lovers and those with allergies: we have resident cats and dogs. The cats prefer to live outside and the dogs are not running around the hotel unless guests ask to meet them!
“Our room was lovely – very warm and every need catered for – even the watercolours and sketch pad for you to try your hand at capturing the wonderful views, Di’s cooking was out of this world and John’s help with our walks was much appreciated.”

Unique hotel in Andalucia
What is not on the list, but is the most important aspect but which seems indescribable, is the atmosphere here at our little hotel near Ronda. When Di built Hotel Los Castaños somehow she incorporated harmony and tranquillity and a feeling of bonhomie and conviviality into the blueprint. Guests feel it after only a few minutes – a magical calmness and “bien estar.”
The hotel contrasts dramatically with the village. While you enjoy luxury and comfort inside, traditional old Spain, The Real Spain, awaits you outside. And we encourage you to explore our village – it is an amazing place in its ability to have a foot in the traditional lifeway of Andalucia but also to have embraced the modern world. Our neighbours are eager to talk (French or Spanish, not much English) and meet you.Click here if you would like to know more about Cartajima
Ditto for the Alto Genal Valley – a special place that is, thankfully, unknown to Conde Nast!
