Small hotel in Ronda countryside
Los Castaños is a stylish hotel, an oasis of quality, with six luxuriously equipped rooms. Di Beach, proud and attentive resident owner, offers the highest possible standard and attention to detail to her guests.
Los Castaños is located in the pueblo blanco of Cartajima, one of the seven villages of the Alto Genal, an unspoiled valley in the Serrania de Ronda where sweet chestnuts and vines and fruits grow. There are walking trails from valley to valley and we provide route notes.
Bustling historic Ronda is just 20 minutes drive away, close enough to enjoy its cultural delights, far enough away to escape the tourist crowds. Sevilla, Granada, Cadiz, and Jerez – the romantic cities of Andalucia – are an easy day-trip.
This is one of the few hotels in Ronda area that is fully air conditioned. The six ensuite rooms are harmonious spaces where our guests are private and very comfortable. For specific details of the room amenities, please go to The Rooms page.
The open-plan drawing-room and dining-room is a light and airy space with an open log fire in the winter, air conditioning in the summer. We have an extensive library, large selection of games, music and movies, all for you to use and enjoy.
And the piece de resistance? We are fortunate to have the best mountain views of any hotel in Ronda, probably in Andalucia! From the rooftop terrace the vistas are mesmerising. Lie on a lounger if you are a sun lover, plunge into the little pool to cool off. In the evening, gaze at the stars (we have a telescope for your use) or relax with a glass of something delicious before dinner.
Our R & R room is a quiet space for massage, meditation, or work out. There is a rowing machine, Yoga and Pilates tapes and DVDs, Dyna Bands and workout routines, aids to meditation. Cartajima has a gym which our guests are welcome to use.

Los Castaños is non-smoking throughout except for the outside areas.
While the hotel is elegant and sophisticated, the village is Andalucia at its most traditional. The contrast is interesting and challenging.
