Greetings
from Cartajima (Andalucia's best-kept secret)
Los
Castanos' website has been completely and beautifully
redesigned and I would love you to visit it. I hope
you will enjoy the magnificent new choice of colours
for which I cannot take credit - except that the
designer was inspired by Los Castaños' décor.
There are exciting new features and, if you like it,
please bookmark the site for future reference when you
(or a friend) are planning a trip to Andalucia.
I
am enjoying writing the Los
Castanos blog. It began at the insistence of my
very clever daughter who assured me it was the way to
go. I was initially suspicious but, now that I have
a few blogs under my belt, I'm enjoying it as a way
to communicate with friends of Los Castaños and
as a creative outlet. It also builds a dialogue between
Cartajima and the rest of the world as people comment,
express opinions, and make suggestions. Up-coming blogs
will be about: the extraordinary outcrop of peridotite
in the Serrania de Ronda, everything you need to know
about the making of a perfect tortilla de patatas,
aka Spanish Omelette, plus a news release on the
new Room Five!
If
you already use Facebook, perhaps you would care to
add Los
Castaños on Facebook to your "friends"
and/or become a "Fan" of the page. Our page
aims to inform, entertain and I will never bore you
with what I had for lunch yesterday! (Well, I might
if it were very tasty and I always share recipes)
Summer
is going to be gorgeous in Cartajima. The village pool
will be open, the evenings will be long and warm, and
tapas will be served on the rooftop terrace in the cool
of the evening. We are offering an especially special
Special - pay for three nights, stay for four! To check
availability, just

Without
further ado, I will say hasta la vista! May your
summer be warm and fun. And we look forward to welcoming
you to Cartajima so we can share with you all the local
gossip!.
Warm
wishes from
Di
Beach and John Walker
