The grapes have been harvested in the fields around Cartajima. Some people, not all, lay them out in the sun to increase the sugar content. The wine will be made over the next few weeks and kept till the Mosto festival the last Saturday in November when professional tasters will come to the village to judge.
The carafes are numbered to avoid hanky-panky and, after the judging, jugs are brought around for all the taste. Great fun! Come join the party.
