New Bar in Cartajima
Antonio and Maribel have just opened a sweet little bar in a back street of Cartajima. A charming mix of Irish pub, French bistro, and Andalucian living room, it is a great new addition to our night life. They have a small selection of tapas, outside seating, and smiley welcomes! Opening at about 9pm, it is the perfect place for a nightcap after your evening stroll around the village. In this clip you will meet Antonio, the owner, who proudly shows off his new creation. Congratulations and good luck with the new venture!
*** I was unfamiliar with the word "frasquita" and couldn´t find it in any dictionary but local information reveals that the name of the bar reflects an erstwhile owner of the building. Frasquita is a diminutive for Francisca and she had a bread oven there. Lovely that her memory continues long after the "horno" or oven has gone.
